I am Dr. Jo Villamayor, founder of AISEC Travel & Tours.
Travel has been my passion for over 30 years. Through decades of travel, I have ventured far beyond the famous landmarks; I have discovered hidden villages, breathtaking landscapes, authentic cuisines, and unique local experiences that make each destination unforgettable.
While I have explored countless destinations around the world, Europe remains my greatest love, alongside Japan and the Arctic.
Europe is my home. I divide my time between Barcelona and Manila, which gives me a unique perspective as both a traveler and a local. I know Europe as someone who has traveled extensively throughout the continent. This intimate knowledge allows me to design journeys that don’t rely on guidebooks, instead creating experiences that are personal, genuine, and memorable.
Being based in Spain has also given me the opportunity to build trusted relationships with hotel and restaurant managers, local guides, coach owners, yacht operators, and other tourism partners. Because of these long-standing relationships, I myself and AISEC do not rely on layers of intermediaries, wholesalers, or large tour operators. Instead, we work directly with our partners. This allows us to provide customized, high-quality travel experiences at affordable prices while maintaining the highest level of service and flexibility.
Since 2015, I have been organizing and personally leading tours for my colleagues in the medical field. For over a decade, these trips were exclusive to doctors and healthcare professionals. The overwhelming success of these journeys, the friendships formed, and the remarkable memories created together have inspired me to share these experiences to a wider audience.
